In 2014 I renovated a derelict naval bakery and created a new Agincare Headquarters, accommodating 80 staff

Success and sustainability in the care industry

Local MP, Richard Drax: “It was a great honour to officially open the new Agincare headquarters on Portland. This most welcome investment in Castletown is just the tonic the area needs and I am sure will encourage others businesses to consider the many opportunities on the island. Agincare is a highly successful company, employing about 2,500 staff across the country. For it to locate its headquarters in the former Naval Bakehouse is a boost for the local economy and reflects a slowly improving economy. I am full of admiration for Mr Luckhurst (Chairman) and wish him and his team continued success. The proper, non-seasonal jobs that Agincare’s move brings to Portland are just what our seaside economy needs.” – 27th June 2014.

Further Developments

It didn’t stop there, I then regenerated Admiralty Buildings one step further by creating the D-Day Centre Musuem to the rear of the property.
