Visiting by Sea

As a result of the Castletown Regeneration Project, the historic ‘My Girl’ ferry service runs to and from Weymouth and Portland and stops just outside the Crabbers’ Wharf Stone Pier three times a day from April to October. The ferry arrives and drops off at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, weather dependent. The ferry then travels across to the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy Marina before travelling to to Weymouth.

Floating Pontoon

I installed the floating pontoon so that the My Girl had somewhere to collect her passengers and fisherman had a quick landing facility.  Efficient and easy unloading of the ‘catch of the day’ makes Crabbers’ Wharf very attractive to local fisherman and interested visitors watching the fishermen at work.

A tranquil place

There is no nicer way than to admire the view than by sitting on one of the stone benches, or crabbing and fishing from the Pier.  I have placed stone benches along the Pier where those who wish to remember loved ones can place a plaque in memory.
